The International Criminal Court is an important institute in the fight against impunity. To make this fight as successful as possible, the Rome Statute needs to be universally accepted. In order to achieve a truly global International Criminal Court, a social media campaign will be launched during this afternoon by the embassies of Denmark and the Republic of Cyprus in The Hague.
ICC President Silvia Fernández de Gurmendi will deliver a key note speech. She will talk about the importance of the ICC and why there is a need to promote the universality of the Rome Statute. Several other campaign supporters will also explain why they find this cause so important.
