The Hague is preparing to host a weekend of activities celebrating peace and justice from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 September.

The new Just Peace weekend is being held in honour of the United Nations International Day of Peace on 21 September. The programme includes music, debates, exhibitions, a ‘Peace Run’, the World Press Photo exhibition in the Atrium of The Hague’s City Hall, walks and much, much more. The International Doors Open Day on 21 September is an opportunity to look behind doors that are normally kept very firmly closed. Discover for yourself how The Hague is working towards peace and justice, and see how you can contribute.

The ONE festival organised in and around the Grote Markt on 21 September features concerts and speakers, a Pub Quiz, a film competition, a lesson in Pop & Peace by Leo Blokhuis, a musical lecture about Bob Marley and Jazz & Swing Burlesque performances.

Humanity House during Just Peace weekend

The Humanity House is doing its bit during Just Peace Weekend. The ‘No lost generation’ exhibition will be open all weekend, free of charge. You will be able to visit our exciting Journey of discovery for just €1 from 19 to 21 September, and photo journalist Chris de Bode will be in attendance during our photography programme ‘In Sight’.
