Mozambique after the elections

Together with the Humanity House, the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy and the African Studies Centre organize a meeting on the Mozambique elections of 15 October 2014.

How is it going with the (future of) democracy in Mozambique, amidst growing political tensions and social discontent. What are the hot issues en social themes and how will democracy develop after the outcomes of the elections? Come and listen to Hermenegildo Mulhovo from NIMD Mozambique. A panel of experts will react on his presentation.

About the speakers

Hermenegildo Mulhovo (Gil) is representative for NIMD Mozambique since 2010. The NIMD programme in Mozambique focuses on electoral reform processes and political dialogue. The panel members are: Judith Sargentini (member of the European Parliament and head of the European Election Observation Mission on the upcoming elections in Mozambique), Daniel Voorhoeve (Minstry of Foreign Affairs), Jos Walenkamp (country expert and professor of International Cooperation at the Hague University).
