Museum Night 2016: how well integrated are you?

Are you coming to Humanity House on Museum Night?

Journey of experience: what does it feel like to flee?

In our interactive museum you can put yourself in the shoes of a refugee for 45 minutes and find out what it’s like to have to leave everything behind. What problems do you face during your unforgettable journey? Unwind in our café afterwards and reflect on your experience.

Earn your integration diploma

How integrated do you think you really are? Test your ‘Knowledge of Dutch Society’ by taking the ‘integration examination’. Your examiner is the strict (but hopefully fair) Saman Amini, one of the actors from the successful theatre show Nobody Home. Are you able to understand Dutch situations? Then head home with the coveted integration diploma (really fake)!

The 30-minute test starts at 9 pm, 10 pm and 11 pm. Specially for the many international professionals in The Hague – most of whom don’t learn Dutch – the test at 10 pm will be in English. Don’t miss it!

Special museum attendants

Special museum attendants are available all evening to guide you around the exhibition The Asylum Search Engine. What does the Dutch asylum world look like? Find out how visual art, photography and video installations bring this world to life and make it more understandable. With work by top photographers Chris de Bode, Ad van Denderen and others.

Practical information

Please note that our doors are open from 8 pm to midnight on Museum Night. We close up at 1 am. The integration examination starts at 9 pm, 10 pm and 11 pm. Want to take part? Make sure you’re on time: a full house is a full house…

Also good to know: we do not sell tickets for Museum Night at our reception desk. For sales points, check the website.
