The International Institute for Social Studies, the University of Wageningen, The Humanitarian Knowledge Centre and the Humanity House kindly invite you for the book launch of ‘People, Aid and Institutions in Socio-economic recovery: Facing Fragilities’.
This book provides a detailed understanding of people’s strategies to survive in the face of conflict and disaster. It also examines how the policies and aid interventions of governments and international agencies enable their socio-economic recovery – or fail to do so.
The editors of the book present the key lessons learned. Several speakers, a.w. Dirk Salomons from Columbia University, give a first reflection on this. The book launch is followed by drinks.
