PARTNER

The Red Cross

The Red Cross comes directly into action after a disaster. The first priority is to save lives! With more than 100 million volunteers worldwide, the Red Cross is always within reach. The Red Cross also restores contact between family members who have lost each other in chaos. The organization helps out of seven founding principles: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality.

3FM Serious Request  focuses attention in 2014 to girls and women who are victims of sexual violence in war and conflict zones. The Red Cross helps these girls and women so that they can rebuild their lives.

In the week before Christmas, three Radio 3FM DJs lock themselves up in a glass studio in a large Dutch city. “Het Glazen Huis” (The Glass House) can be found on the Grote Markt in Haarlem from 18 to 24 December 2014. The DJs eat nothing for six days and make live radio and television 24 hours a day. They appeal to as many people as possible in that week to take action for the charity. For example, by paying for a song request. Or by initiating a fundraising action. All week, the DJs can be followed online.
