OneWorld reports about the forgotten crises

OneWorld

On OneWorld.nl and in OneWorld Magazine, you can see that our lives are linked to people all around the world. And vice versa, how that which happens there, affects us here. How does this reciprocal influencing work? How can we positively influence these processes? What can we ourselves do? OneWorld.nl is the biggest Dutch website about global solidarity and sustainability. The free OneWorld magazine is published eight times a year.

In the media, it sometimes seems that there is only room for one crisis at a time. Suddenly, all eyes are on Ebola, Syria or Iraq. Or a natural disaster demands everyone’s attention. That reporting is important and relevant, but of course in reality, there is more than one crisis at a time. “OneWorld reports about the forgotten crises. Or beter still: OneWorld continues to report about a crisis. Even when this crisis has been pushed to the background in the media. For example by another critical situation,” says chief-editor Hans Ariëns of OneWorld. All these critical situations, emergency aid and the changing humanitarian field are continuously the focus of attention on OneWorld.nl/.
