How accurate is our perception of Iraq? At this event, we exchange ideas with photographers Stefano Carini and Dario Bosio and with journalist Anneke van Ammelrooy.
They all work to reshape perceptions of the country – one of the most dangerous countries for journalists to work in. Even though freedom of the press is limited, people persist in their fight for independent media and truthful stories. Meanwhile, our European news channels are rather silent about Iraq, even though a lot is happening there.
The program also offers a spoken column by musician Sattar AlSaadi. Moderator is journalist & writer Hassnae Bouazza.
