‘Milk’ with Sean Penn

On November 27, 1978 in San Francisco, Harvey Milk was killed because he argued against discrimination based on sexual orientation. Exactly 35 years after the film Milk, Humanity House exhibits: a film about the life of Harvey Milk, played by Sean Penn. Harvey Milk was the first gay councilor of San Francisco and he was one of the first activists for equal rights.

This film is screened as part of the exhibition Humanity City. In this exhibition famous and less famous people, show how they contribute to a brighter and fairer world as Harvey Milk has done for gay rights in the United States.
