Dutch Humanitarian Summit

How can Dutch humanitarian organisations improve the provision of relief aid during a crisis? Ten Dutch humanitarian organisations are organising a Dutch Humanitarian Summit to answer this question. This summit anticipates the World Humanitarian Summit, which takes place in Istanbul in 2016 at the initiative of UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon.

Numerous speakers, workshops, side events, five themed working groups and keynote speeches will feature on the programme. Among those attending are Lilianne Ploumen (Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation) John Holms, Naema Tahir, Maite Vermeulen, Boris van der Ham, Lahpai Seng Raw and many others.

In the run-up to the summit, further discussions will take place on the OneWorld crisis platform, drawing on background information about the various crises around the world.
