Handing her the mic: past, present and future of women in the Gulf

Henriette van Lynden lecture 2019

Four women from the Gulfstates will take the stage to reflect on societal changes and the shifting role of women in their region. From their expertise in the fields of politics, education, business, law, and the cultural sector, they will each share their view. Which road lies behind them and what is still ahead?

The speakers, who are from Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arabic Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, shed light on the most important changes in the past decades, up until the present day. Drawing from their own personal experience, as well as their respective disciplines.
