Jae-Chang Kim, a popular Korean opera singer, starts the Banana Children’s Choir in Pune, India. His quick temper earns him the nick-name ‘Angry Bird.’ Frustrated by the lack of support from the parents, the Angry Bird decides to train the parents to sing for a joint concert with their children. Probably the toughest challenge of his life. A journey full of tears and laughters.
The film follows a 15-month-long, sometimes comical journey of Kim and his choir from the first parents’ meeting to the final concert. The project often drives Angry Bird to despair, because for people who have trouble making ends meet, work is always more important. Nevertheless, music provides a vibrant contrast to life in the slums. It moves both parents and children, bringing them closer together in the process.
